HEARTS UNDER FIRE

"Hearts Under Fire, a punk rock band with killer melodies, a dark edge and a Brit twist" has been one way to describe this four-piece band from Surrey.

Despite being pigeonholed into the pop/punk-rock genre, the band feels that "we don't really fit in to the new pop-punk scene.....we're mixing the best of both worlds, so you get the whole melodic vibe/catchy hooks but you also get the DIY and Alkaline Trio/AFI punk-rock sound."

Their ballsy, melodic, impassioned songs together with fast tempos, driving guitars and gang vocals have been compared to Rise Against, Alkaline Trio and AFI, but although there are similarities these girls have certainly established a sound of their own.

Hearts Under Fire already have six UK tours under their belts and a pretty hefty live CV having played a number of festivals including Guilfest, Download, Sonisphere, Hevy & T in the Park.

Having generated lots of positive attention this year already with their self-released EP 'Letters' in May and with more shows coming up, the girls focus their attention on writing a fistful of blistering new songs over the coming months and will certainly be taking down a room near you in the very near future.

Drones is a four-piece punk rock band from Camberley. Formed by their love for all that is loud, fast and melodic, guitarist/vocalist Daly George, guitarist Rob, bassist James Kerr and drummer Mitchell Thomas have set out to provide hysteria with socio-political tunes reminiscent of Anti-Flag, Strike Anywhere and Rise Against. Having travelled the country playing all venues from festivals to underground squats, the band have now signed to Lockjaw Records in September 2011 to release their debut album “Mutiny”.

That sinking feeling when you realise you spent your rent on getting your nose broken.

Ollie and Mike met at uni. Ollie was bumbling around on busses playing thrash songs on his acoustic guitar and Mike took pity on Ollie. Mike's awesome punk band, The Apostates helped Ollie tart up his songs and now as a collective we are called It's Not OK!
